President's Party

As President Todd Johnson always says, “I hope you leave this meeting feeling better than when you came.” It would be hard to imagine anyone who attended the Annual President’s Party and Awards on May 21st didn’t feel that way.

Through the generous donation of Harry and Alvard Barseghian, LA5ers were treated to an entertaining night, filled with delicious food, engaging conversations, and a whole lot of fun. As Arthur Kassel mentioned, “It was a pleasure to connect with fellow LA5ers on a personal level in a stunning setting.”

The Annual President’s Party and Awards kicked off the night by dazzling attendees with a spectacular view from the hilltop of the Los Feliz Hills. While LA5ers enjoyed breaking bread together and many happy toasts, the true spirit of LA5 shined that night when LA5 honored two outstanding Rotarians: LA5 Rotarian of the Year Paul Netzel and Scholastic Hero Award Recipient Ned Colletti. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of Paul and Ned, Rotary will continue to have a big impact on local and international communities.

With the support of many Rotarians, LA5 was able to raise nearly $18,000 to support the club and its programs. As Paul Ekstrand said, “It was a fundraiser that felt like a party !It’s one of the few events that my wife looks forward to each year.”

This night would not have been possible without the many generous sponsors. A big thank you to:
