"Que Syrah Syrah, whatever will be will be...Better with wine!

We finally allowed our senses to be enlivened at our June 16th, Rotary wine tasting experience at the home of our Fellow Rotarian Tony Medley in Hancock Park. As one member put it: "Tony’s home is "In a class by itself" there are no words except, Extraordinary, Spectacular, Stunning!!" We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all aspects of the party!!!"

Although we do not have a "Wine Society", we certainly have Rotarian camaraderie!! There were 80 of us coming and going! What a fun crowd. We had a chance to experience a variety of Syrah’s that were brought by so many Rotarians. Thanks to the expert bartending by Eddie De Ochoa and Vien Le; everyone kept coming back to try the various wines.

Our Co-Chairs Denise Anthony and Christina Moses sponsored and prepared all the food (except the Birthday cake that we bought for Jennifer and the great trifle that Marjorie Heller made) Our appetizers were based on our research that would best fit the wines we were tasting. Thank you Shahala for bringing some vegetarian goodies! We are super grateful to our other sponsors, David & Cheryle Bland, Charles Hamilton, and John Lockhart. The profits were donated to Rotary. We cannot forget the wonderful piano music that was provided in the front parlor, by Ben Turner. His tinkling of the ivories is such a lovely sound!!

Thank you one and all for making this happen for all of us to enjoy!
